We often encounter the question: Bathing prosthesis or swimming prosthesis?

First, we need to distinguish which concept we need.  

Do we need to use a prosthesis while bathing, or do we need support when entering and exiting the bathroom? 

If we remember that the purpose of bathing is to cleanse our bodies, we must also remember that our amputated stump needs cleaning, especially since it remains inside the prosthesis for a long time. Therefore, it would be more appropriate to come to the bathroom with the prosthesis we normally use in our daily lives, remove it at the door, and enter the bathroom without it.

When going to the sea or a pool, it would be best to use a non-slip, water-resistant prosthesis. Also, if we plan to shower after swimming, it's crucial to remove our prosthesis before showering.
